The Cyril Kongo by Richard Mille transcends mere timekeeping and becomes a wearable work of art. It's the brainchild of a visionary watchmaker who dared to merge haute horlogerie with contemporary art in a groundbreaking way.

Renowned graffiti artist Cyril Kongo transformed the RM 68-01's surface into his canvas by translating his signature vibrant style and urban art inspiration into the intricate world of watchmaking. It's a testament to the collaboration between Richard Mille's precision engineering and Kongo's artistic vision, bringing the boldness of street murals into the realm of micromechanics.

Caliber RM 68-01 is among the key features of the Cyril Kongo Richard Mille timepiece. The manual-winding tourbillon movement drives the hours and minutes with precision. On the back of the timepiece, you can see the tourbillon’s central form with a baseplate that radiates outward, much like a splash of paint against a wall. The watch’s front stands out with different movement bridges arcing in various directions, similar to wild brushstrokes you’ll find in street art.

Housed in a Carbon TPT® caseband with black ceramic bezels, the asymmetric case tapers in two directions: in height from 12 and 6 o’clock and thickness between 9 to 3 o’clock. The Cyril Kongo by Richard Mille combines contemporary visual and mechanical arts to exemplify 21st-century timekeeping.

Making this timepiece took a different approach than the Richard Mille Romain Grosjean. On the RM 68-01, Kongo adapted his artistry to the caliber's very limited surface. However, he made it possible for the watch to reflect his work from every component of the watch.

When worn, the RM 68-01 Cyril Kongo by Richard Mille is a style statement with its black carbon case that perfectly contrasts the striking rubber bracelet. The paint’s weight was carefully determined to avoid compromising the caliber’s equilibrium. This resulted in a palette of indelible and bright hues that perfectly adhere to the titanium components. Moreover, the paints can endure dismantling and assembly.
